About Elnor Walsh

I’m Elnor Walsh, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, University of Toronto graduate, and dedicated community leader based in Centre Wellington. I am honoured to be running for Councillor for Ward 5.

Throughout my career, I have supported youth, families, seniors, and communities through my clinical practice and involvement with local and regional organizations. My work spans community mental health, youth wellbeing, education, health, equity, and social justice. I believe that strong communities are built when people feel supported, heard, included, and connected.

I currently serve on the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation Board, the Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (Wellington Guelph) Family Engagement Working Group, and the University of Toronto Graduate Board of Appeal, where I serve as Vice Chair. I am also a member of Family Mediation Canada, reflecting my commitment to fair, structured, and supportive approaches to conflict resolution.

I previously served as Chair of the Township’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, helping guide policy development and community-focused initiatives that promoted more inclusive and equitable organizational practices. I also volunteer with the Students of Colour Alliance (SOCA) at Centre Wellington District High School, supporting students, their events, and initiatives.

These experiences have shaped my approach to leadership. I believe in fairness, equity, collaboration, accountability, and clear communication. I value listening to different perspectives, making thoughtful decisions, and building strong relationships across our community.

Ward 5 is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m running because I care deeply about our community and want to help protect what makes it special while working together to build a strong, healthy, and inclusive future.
